The Fall Conference took place October 23-24 at Ruttger’s Sugar Lake Lodge in beautiful Grand Rapids, MN. The conference was a great success. If you attended, please share your wonderful experience with others! Check out the pictures at Flickr.

Here’s a slideshow from Friday Fun Night (emphasis on FUN!)

There were several highlights of the weekend. We had wonderful inspiring educational sessions, and a morning plenary session by our First Year International Director Theo Black, DTM. Thank you to those who presented and helped share their Toastmasters expertise for others. We also had two fantastic Speech Contests. We cannot forget about Friday Fun Night and the Lip Sync Contest with a Twist – let’s just say there is something about Dancing Queen and a blue dress…. thank you to all who participated and made the evening memorable.

Congratulations to Craig Carver of the Northern Division who placed first in the Evaluation Contest, and John Schiebner of the Rivers Division who placed first in the Humorous Speech Contest.

The Silent Auction raised $674, which helps offset the conference expenses. Thank you everyone who donated and bid!

A big thank you to all the staff at Ruttger’s Sugar Lake Lodge for a wonderful time.
