On July 23rd, at the DoubleTree-Park Place in Minneapolis, MN, District 6 Toastmasters will gather together for inspiration, education, recognition, and fun at the 2016 District 6 Summer Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI). Back by popular demand is our keynote speaker, Lance Miller, 2005 World Champion of Public Speaking.

Cost and Registration

$10 Breakfast and Toastmaster Leadership Institute seminars without the Award luncheon.
$35 Toastmaster Leadership Institute all day seminars with the Award luncheon.
Luncheon registrations must be received by Saturday, July 16th.
Registrations for morning session only (officer training and Lance Miller) can be done by walk-in at the event.

Share YOUR Story!
The world is waiting to hear YOUR Toastmasters story, and we want to help you tell it! We will have a booth where we will video you telling your 1-2 minute Toastmasters story! We will upload each of your stories to the web, and you will be able to send out an invite to all of your friends and colleagues via Facebook, Twitter, or Linked In to view your story. After you record your session, you will receive an “Ask me about Toastmasters” pin to wear proudly. We will also use #ShareYourStory and #AskMeAboutToastmasters to get our story out. We look forward to seeing YOUR Toastmasters story!

Keynote Speaker

Lance MillerLance Miller is an award winning speaker and trainer. He brings to the podium a unique mix of talent and life experience that has shaped his philosophy and viewpoint of the world. He is a member of Toastmasters International and is a Distinguished Toastmaster. He was instrumental in building his home Toastmasters Club, Renaissance Speakers, to the #4 Toastmasters Club in the world. In 2005 he emerged from a field of 28,000 contestants from 90 countries to win the title of the World Champion of Public Speaking.

In the morning keynote, Leadership for a Championship Club, Lance will explain how to manage a Toastmasters club, including how each officer contributes to a club’s success.

In the afternoon keynote, Finding Your Voice, you will learn the practical steps to finding speaking messages within you, that are connected to who you are. Lance will work together with the audience to write a speech and then he will deliver it to show how easily speeches can be created!
