District 6 Leadership Nominations (2021-22)

All candidates declaring for a 2021-2022 District Leadership role must declare their intent to run to the District Leadership Chair (Ravi Rai) no later than January 15, 2021.  Toastmasters International approved extending this date into January! (see online form below)

Candidates will need to submit the official Candidate Application Form, the Nomination Form, and the Officer Agreement and Release Form to the District Leadership chair by the time of the interview process planned in January. Download  forms by clicking on the PDF link:

The chair of the nominating committee reports the committee’s results in writing to the district director no fewer than six weeks before the district’s Annual Business Meeting. The district director submits the report in writing to all members of the district council at least four weeks before the Annual Business Meeting. This may be done in the district newsletter or a separate communication. At the discretion of the district director, a statement from each nominee outlining their qualifications and abilities to perform the duties of the office may be included with the report. Only candidates nominated by the nominating committee may be included in the report. Floor candidates may declare their intent to run after the District Leadership Committee results have been announced and at least 1 week before the District Council meeting.

Floor Candidates:

Information from Toastmasters International (April 6, 2020)

  • All floor candidates are required to declare their intent to run for election at least one (1) week (7 days) before the meeting for any and all positions they are considering running for, regardless of the validity of the DLC report.
  • If a position is invalid, all qualified candidates for that position must declare their intent to run as a floor candidate seven (7) days prior to the election. For example, if the required number of candidate(s) is not nominated, that position of the report is invalid. Therefore, any qualified candidate may run from the floor.
  • No nominations from the floor will be allowed during the council meeting.
